The turn of the century is witnessing a resurgence in the use of sculpture art to enhance everything from downtown areas and sporting events to storefronts and even residences. In November of 2007 the Young Leadership Council of New Orleans launched a fundraising campaign dubbed "A Streetcar Named Inspire." Mardi Gras Decorators was tasked with producing accurate scale replicas of the famous New Orleans Streetcars. These replicas are sponsored by local firms and individuals and then become the canvas for local artists to display their art publicly. |
